Collezione: NATALY MAIER

Nataly Maier (1957, Munich, Germany) lives and works between Munich and Milan.

Through the study of the masters, she has developed a rich and refined palette, making color the main theme of her works. The artist's research, which began in the 1980s, highlights the evocative power of color, communicating a full and natural energy.

The uniqueness of her works lies in the use of egg tempera, one of the oldest and most effective methods of preparing colors for painting. In fact, egg yolk was used in the past as a binder for powdered pigments because of its thickening qualities. The artist proceeds to apply several layers of paint without ever undoing the one underneath to make the color become thick and deep.
