Collezione: MISIA DE ANGELIS

Misia De Angelis (1964, Varese, Italy) lives and works in Milan. Nature and poetry are her constant sources of inspiration. Painting on small-size paper has been distinguishing her research for over thirty years. Indeed, the concentrated spatial dimension of her works reveals itself in all its tension and expands until it becomes contemplative silence.

The fading of forms, in a light-crossed space field, determines the perception of an unlimited and ever-changing dimension.
The perspective is not created by the human eye, but by a distant point of view, lost in infinite space. The memory goes back to the image of the 'Earthrise' photo of the Apollo mission, which profoundly changed the world and its perception.
"Earthrise" becomes a dominant thought investigated through a pictorial language strongly linked to tradition. An endless research that explores the most earthly matter together with the celestial one, more suspended, elusive; both are translated into mysterious, vibrant, unprecedented appearances.
