In the Ancora l'alba series, Madelaine Gamondés constructs a symbolic universe that revolves around the figure of the benteveo, a South American bird that runs through her artistic research as a recurring and generative presence.
Its song, its physiology, the colors and shape of the eggs: each element becomes a trace from which the artist begins to investigate the thin thread – fragile yet powerful – that holds together life and memory.
From the sound waves of the Benteveo's song, the artist creates silhouettes that materialize in works made from natural wool using the ancient technique of needle felting. The forms—light, suspended, vibrant—unfold on various media, such as fabric and paper, composing an immersive and poetic landscape.
