In the Alfabeto Blanco series, Giovanni Blanco constructs a personal atlas from photocopies and archival images, which he transforms into painting through a process of slow, almost ritualistic repetition. Seriality is never a pure technical exercise, but becomes a way to interrogate memory, history, and error, restoring enigmatic and precious fragments like relics. Pictorial virtuosity combines with a conceptual detachment that cools autobiography and transforms it into a universal language. Owls, nocturnal symbols, and marginal details compose a visual alphabet that oscillates between intimacy and art history, between failure and revelation.
